Summer holidays was very short. In summer I go to Jermuk and Gyumri. In Jermuk I play chess championship under 10 and I beguile 2 place. In Gyumri I play chess championship under 12. But in Gyumri I didn’t make it anywhere, but I was close to the gold medal. In the summer it was my brother’s birthday and we it celebrated it Aquatek. It’s very intersting for children.

Hello my name is Aren. I study in MSKH Western school. This year I must go to Middle school. I am not happy Because I’m growing up, I cannot see the rest of my friends from my class, because everything is very mixed there. I have some friends in Middle school and I hope to see them there. I also hope to get new knowledge there.

My number 1 friend

My best friend is Alen Hovsepyan from my class. Alen is crazy, active, funny-bunny, and he likes to play computer games Minecraft and Bad wars. We like to spend a lot of time together. Two weeks ago we went to Arates. We had a lot of fun, we played football, we walked and sang songs. I am happy because Alen is coming to Middle school and we will have a lot of time to spend together.

My good friend

My good friend is Harutyun Kirakosyan from my class. Harut is fan of Anime and Karate. He is kind and funny. He likes to play computer games Minecraft, Bad wars, Shadow fight and he likes to watch Marvel. We spent good time on his birthday with our friends.

Learn to retell about your best friend or friends.

Echo was a magical nymph. She lived in the forest and everyone knew two things about her. She had a beautiful voice and she was very kind.

One day Zeus ran into the forest. He wanted to hide from his wife, Hera. Hera was angry with him because he did not love her enough. Zeus saw Echo. ‘Please help me,’ he said. Echo was afraid of Zeus and because she was kind she agreed to help him.

A few minutes later, Hera came into the forest, looking for Zeus. She was unhappy. Echo stopped her and started to chat. ‘Hello, Hera, how are you today?’ she asked. Hera chatted with Echo and soon she forgot about Zeus.

After that day, every time Zeus wanted to hide from Hera, he went to the forest and looked for Echo. Every time Hera went to look for Zeus she found Echo. They chatted for a while and Hera forgot about her husband.

Finally, Hera understood that Echo was helping Zeus. She was very angry. She decided to punish Echo. She went to the forest and took away Echo’s voice. From that day Echo could only repeat the last few sounds she heard. She never spoke again.

Today we call a sound that is repeated again and again ‘an echo’.

Types of friend -Ընկերության տեսակները

a close friend = a very good friend մտերիմ ընկեր
“She has one or two close friends.”

Be careful of the pronunciation. “Close” sounds like the “mos” part of “most”. The verb “to close” sounds like “nose”.

Describing your friends

fun = good company լավ ընկերակցություն
“I like being with Sally because she’s good fun to be with.”

Be careful! “Funny” = humorous: “She’s a funny girl and she makes me laugh.” զվարճալի
“Funny” = strange: “I think there’s something funny about Jane.” տարօրինակ

a laugh = someone who is funny զվարճալի
“John’s a laugh.”

loyal = she is always my friend հավատարիմ

easy-going = relaxed- թեթև, հարմարվող
“I like him because he’s easy-going.”
